Dr. Geert Jongert

Dr. Geert Jongert began Maitland Mobile Veterinary Services in 2003 after purchasing the bovine portion of the Seaforth Veterinary Clinic, which was a solo mixed animal practice at the time. He grew up on a dairy farm, first in Holland, then near Embro after immigrating to Canada at age nine.  Dr. Jongert attended the University of Guelph and graduated with a BSc (Animal Science) in 1997, followed by a DVM degree from OVC in 2001.  Dr. Jongert enjoys working with livestock operations of all shapes and sizes. When not conducting farm calls, he enjoys spending time with family, running, golfing, motorcycling, or just about any outdoor-related activity.
